GETTING STARTED / SETUP

You are now ready to place a custom order for a design made specifically for your vehicle.

To proceed, please provide two photos:

A profile shot showing the full side of the car's body.
An isometric view from the front.

Once received, these images will be prepared and returned to you with design lines and annotations.

Your task is simply to review the markups and confirm the details via email.

After your approval, we'll move into the design phase where everything will be tailored precisely to fit your model.

Here is a good example of a side profile image of the body, one that I can work well from.

As seen here, the setup marks have been placed upon the image and to send back to you for the dimensions which the solutions can in turn be sent back through e-mail.
Isometric top frint view
This type of reference image is required so that I can see what the nose cone assembly looks like, and will help in better understanding the full geometry of the body.

In this image, I was able to collect 3 angles of the body. Two will do, however this makes it easier for setup mark calculations and references.

Final print size
It is always better to be oversized than to run short. As such, I add extra material to the master print so that you need only trim off the excess. The image referenced here is a sample of that oversizing, and varies depending on body style.
Master Print File
Here is what the final master looks like before editing to a rip file. The graphic is generally printed as a left and right, and installation starts right down the center of the top, then working down the sides of the body.

This Premium option utilizes a four-color, custom-order process printed onto 3M IJ-3510 media with a five-year durability rating. The material is specifically engineered for optimal performance on smooth, flat, and gently curved surfaces. This format requires a wet installation method for proper application. *These are available as panels only by special order and not a full body wrap as the Premium Plus option.

The difference between the Premium, and the Premium Plus is in the media and the processing. Premium Plus is the superior choice and what we always recommend.

The Premium Plus custom-order option is processed with six colors—a step I strongly recommend for overall best appearance and results.

It delivers a broader and more vibrant color gamet on specialized 'wrap' media like 3M IJ-180-CV3 or ARLON 6100XLP. This combination provides excellent, hassle-free installation on any smooth or contoured surface.

It conforms effortlessly over features like bull-nose edges, recesses, extrusions, panel overlaps, and of course, the nose cone. The finish includes a UV-stabilizing, clear gloss overlaminate that matches the material.

These premium 'Controltac' and 'X-Scape' formats are highly conformable, capable of stretching up to 130% without a primer, and resist common post-installation issues such as lifting, shrinking, cracking, or edge curling.

If you need to reposition a section or have stretched the film too far, you can gently lift the affected area and, with the application of heat, the film will quickly recover to it's natural state—making corrections and reworks straightforward.

This material is formulated for dry installation.

Liquids of any kind should not be used, as they are not required or recommended for these specialty wraps.

All print material, including the solvents, are rated UV inhibiting. And from my personal professional experience, the colors stay bright and true for a decade.

Here’s what you need to do next:

Submit your reference images for markup. Also, specify which design you’ve selected. If it applies to your custom order, include your driver’s name and race number.
Then, navigate to the SETUP tab in the sidebar. The setup fee is nominal relative to the time required to prepare the design file to match your specific body style.
Once you’ve completed the setup, we’ll move forward with production. After you receive your finished proof, you can select your preferred processing option.

Once your custom-order package arrives, carefully open it from one end and gently slide out the contents.

Unroll the prints and lay them flat for a few hours. This allows the material to relax and settle, after which you can proceed with the installation.

Depending on our current workload, the setup phase typically takes about five days.

Once you approve the proof, an additional three days of processing are required. This means your prints are generally ready for shipment within one week of your approval.

They are carefully packaged in a sturdy cardboard tube to ensure they arrive at your door safely.

Before installing your custom-order, ensure your workspace is completely free of dust, debris, and any other contaminants.

Remember, the quality of the installation depends on a perfectly clean base. Thoroughly clean the panels you’ll be applying the graphics to, ensuring they are free of dust and grease.

Start with a soap and water wash, then wipe the surfaces down with rubbing alcohol immediately before application. This final step guarantees optimal adhesion.

If you’d rather not handle the installation yourself, most local sign shops have staff members who are experienced with these procedures and can complete the job for you.
